Insulating, Electricity and Hanging out

Today we accomplished a lot. We did some insulating, John and Jeff safely installed wiring for an outlet and the tent starting feeling cool enough that Sam could be inside with us.

The Tent Fits!

Time to actually pull the tent out of the shed and put it on. It wasn’t as easy as slipping on a glove but Jeff and John got it done. So glad it fits.

Wall framing is up

Here are some photos of the framing. We did not draw out plans before we put them together which made it very frustrating. A lot of re-cutting and unscrewing. We do have an offer on the house so we should probably ramp it up on putting this thing together. But it’s not over til the fat lady sings or the paperwork is finalized, so we shall see…

Building A Temporary Tent Home

Over the past few months I have posted some pics of the very slow construction of our new “tent” house but with no explanation of what exactly we are doing or why we are doing it. I am also realizing that once we are finished I may want to have a more consistent record of how things went down so I will try to be more intentional about taking picture as the process continues.
